A/Prof. Xiaofen Liu obtained her PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the Institute of Antibiotics, Huashan Hospital, affiliated with Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Her primary research interest is the clinical pharmacology of antibiotics, encompassing phase I clinical studies of new drugs, analytical assays of biological samples, pharmacokinetic studies, therapeutic drug concentration monitoring, population pharmacokinetic studies, antimicrobial pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, and antibacterial resistance mechanisms using a systematic pharmacology approach. Her research was granted by National Natural Science Foundation and Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, etc and has published over 50 research papers. She has served as an investigator in more than 10 phase I clinical trials. Additionally, she was appointed as an inspector of the Center for Food and Drug Inspection of NMPA.
